ABOUT
GrizzHacks is a 24 hour engineering marathon, welcome to all students. Whether you're a seasoned developer building a new idea, a beginner looking to sharpen your skills, or simply a tech lover, we have something for you!
THE CHALLENGE
Over the course of 24 hours, each team will develop a project from the ground up and then present their work to a panel of judges to compete for over $6,000 in prizes! You're allowed to create anything you can think of, but if you need some inspiration, check out our tracks this year on our website. Throughout the weekend, there will also be tech talks, a sponsor career expo, games, free food, and ducks!
GET STARTED
- Register at grizzhacks.org to secure your spot in the hackathon. Once accepted, you will get access to our discord
- Build your team! You may work in a team of 1-4 people. Feel free to come with a team (spread the word to your friends!), form a team in our #team-formation channel, or find a team to join at the event!
- Start brainstorming! Check out our main tracks (AI/ML, FinTech, Hell's Kitchen, and Social Good) on our website...and stay tuned for prizes!
- Get ready for a fun weekend!
Requirements
WHAT TO BUILD
Short answer -- whatever you want! If you would like to, you can base your project into one of our four main tracks: AI/ML, FinTech, Hell's Kitchen, and Social Good. There will also be mini challenges announced at the event. Your project can fit into as many mini challenges as you'd like (in addition to the track), but may only be entered into ONE of the four tracks.
WHAT TO SUBMIT
You MUST submit a draft of your project on DevPost by midnight. This draft must include the track and all challenges that you are opting into. You can continue to edit this submission up until 12:00pm, but must keep your opted challenges and track the same. You will not be able to demo if you do not turn in an initial draft of your submission by midnight.
HACKING ENDS AT 12:00PM ON SUNDAY, MARCH 29TH. All code for your project must conclude at this time. You will have an extra 30 minutes to prepare your presentation for demos as we set up the room, but the coding aspect is cut off at 12:00pm.
